Cedar Point Amusement Park; October 1, 2011

Cedar Point entrance
Two days ago, there was a trip to Cedar Point, Amusement Park in Ohio. I had to woke up at 6.00am to catch the bus in the university. Nearly 50 students and International Center staffs started the trip at 7.30. It took 3,5-4 hours to arrive there.

According to Wikipedia, Cedar Point is a 364 acre (1.47 km²) amusement located in Sandusky, Ohio, United States on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie. Cedar Point is the only amusement park with four roller coasters that are taller than 200 feet (61 m) (Magnum XL 200, Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, Top Thrill Dragster). As of 2010, Cedar Point has more rides (75) than any other amusement park.

Firstly, international student office members bought tickets for us. Then we started to visit the park. It was really huge; so using map was required. Firstly, we waited on the line of Maverick. Waiting on the line took nearly one hour. After the one hour, I tried that ride. It was amazing; incredible and scary. If you wanna see the Maverick ride; please watch this video. Besides, in that day, the weather was really bad, so you could see big waves on the lake while you were riding Maverick, it was really horrible.

Maverick ride

After the Maverick ride, I wanted to try the Mantis ride, but I gave up, because during the ride, people have to stand up. It was too much for me, so I gave up.

It was really cold day, actually it was freezing. Still I have running nose owing to being cold in that day. Sometimes I visited gift shops and coffee houses to get warm, because outside was really, reall, really cold. And I bought Cedar Point magnet and Cedar Point key ring to remember that trip.

After eating something in the lunch break, I watched a show in one of the theaters of Cedar Point, name of the show was a Halloween Hullabaloo. This video helps you to understand how was the show.

Then I tried three-four haunted houses. They were really great, especially Happy Jack's Toy Factory was amazing. I had to wait approximately 1,5 hours on the line, but it was really good.

To sum up, although the weather was terrible, I had fun. Please visit Cedar Point before Halloweekends ends.

The summary of first month in USA

During this first month, I started to live in dormitory and joined many activities that were provided by my university and the dormitory.I had place in International Day of Peace, International Taste Fest, Fall Orientation, Taste of Downtown and so on. I had really fun thanks to these events. By the way, I visited Ann Arbor and Chicago during the weekend, both of them were amazing. I wanted to spend much time in Chicago,  I visited it during just five hours, but it was not enough. I am gonna add pics of these trips in the future.
